Adult Protective Services
We accept referrals on behalf of persons 18 years of age or older who may be victims of physical, emotional, or financial abuse, as well as neglect and self-neglect. Our primary goal is to ensure safety and stability.

Note: Cases involving financial abuse or criminal activity may be referred directly to Oneida County law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
Adult & Elderly At Risk
As the lead reporting agency for Adult/Elder At Risk in Oneida County, we investigate allegations of:
- Physical or emotional abuse
- Financial exploitation
- Sexual abuse
- Neglect and self-neglect
We work cooperatively with other service providers and law enforcement agencies when needed to bring cases to a satisfactory conclusion. By law, the identity of any person reporting suspected abuse or neglect is kept strictly confidential.
Adult Welfare Concern
Beyond investigation, we strive to provide timely intervention and ongoing support. For individuals identified as being at risk, the department provides ongoing case management services. This approach ensures that vulnerable adults receive the continuous care and monitoring required to maintain their safety and quality of life.
